The issue has been resolved, and the following update received from Pulsant - do let us know if you experience any further problems.
"All service is now operating normally.
We are now able to advise that the root cause was a sustained DDoS attack targeting infrastructure belonging a specific customer.
The attack volume and vectors then had subsequent impact in neighbouring networks causing the intermittent degradation.
Our engineers worked with the customer in question to bring the attack to a close and the matter has now been handed over to the relevant authorities for investigation.
Pulsant would like to apologise for the brevity of the updates, but this was due to the sensitivity of the incident.
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused."
All systems are running smoothly - we are awaiting an update on the network issues from Pulsant, and will leave this incident open until we have one.
We are currently seeing all services operating as normal from all geographic monitoring locations. Pulsant have advised:
"Please be advised that our engineers are investigating monitoring alerts identifying transient, intermittent network degradation.
We understand this is impacting customer sporadically, however the engineers are working towards resolving the cause.
We will continue to provide updates as they become available.
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused."
All services are now showing back online and operating as normal. We will continue to monitor and leave this issue open until the network issues are confirmed resolved by Pulsant.
